Designed by Geoffrey Cornish and first opened in 1962, this championship golf course features 6,740 yards and 150 acres that serves as the venue for relaxing play, club and local PGA tournaments, and junior programs. In 1998, the course hosted the U.S. Open qualifier.
Under the supervision of Superintendent Paul Sabino,The Farms Country Club golf course underwent a major renovation in 1997, including the installation of a state of the art irrigation system, a new maintenance facility, and reconstruction of all bunker complexes.
The golf staff
Led by head golf professional Jim Hanlon, the golf staff goes to great lengths to provide the perfect golf experience for every member of The Farms Country Club family. From adult and junior lessons to tournament organization or to equipment sales and advice, no detail is too small to escape its careful attention.
Tournaments
Along with regularly scheduled Club tournaments, The Farms Country Club golf course hosts casual couples tournaments, called Pinehursts, every month. Nine holes of friendly, competitive golf are followed by dinner and dancing in the clubhouse.
Junior program
Children are always encouraged at The Farms Country Club. To help them get the most from their experience, a special junior golf program — currently involving more than 70 children — features group and individual lessons for beginner through advanced, plus the opportunity for competitive play.
